In this session W/we will be discussing Guidepost #8: "Contentment"
When you are content to simply be yourself and don't compare or compete, everyone will respect you.
jLao Tzu
Does contentment have a place in D/s? for the submissive as much as the Dominant? Does contentment breed complacency in a relationship? How do W/we accept and enjoy contentment within a D/s structure? How does contentment fit into O/our needs and wants? and do W/we need the ability to accept compromise in order to find contentment? What are Y/your thoughts about contentment?
As always I will be sharing what my thoughts were on these matters when I was set this workbook as a task by my Master over a year ago....sometimes my views have changed since then....sometimes they remain the same...as in this case:
Contentment....is ever changing...ever evolving... what we are content with one day...may not be the same a few days later....that is the way of things. Buddhists believe that contentment is the goal of all goals because once achieved there is nothing to seek until it is lost. It is evident that none of us are able to stay content....as soon as we find contentment....things have a way of interfering with it...chipping away at it....attacking it...
However, as long as we recognise this evolutionary trait of contentment we can work to maintain it....this is why it is important to assess our own needs and wants on a regular basis because they will change over time...and it will be important for both Master and slave to recognise the needs and wants of each other in order to try to meet them.

As always W/we will also take a look at two thoughts for the day, the first focusing on how W/we might anticipate each others' needs and the second discussing the mutually consensual nature of a D/s relationship.
Please do join U/us to share Y/your thoughts, experiences and questions - E/everyone welcome. Voice led but text also welcome. Discussion usually lasts for between one hour and an hour and a half....but come and go as Y/you please, Y/your presence is most welcome.
