"To believe in something, and not to live it, is dishonest.”
― Mahatma Gandhi
How many of U/us are dishonest about the D/s aspects of O/our lives? Is SL a place where W/we can escape O/our real lives in order to taste O/our fantasies? Most of U/us certainly can not talk freely in a vanilla world about O/our D/s lives....O/our somewhat secret lives.....is this acceptable dishonesty? Where is the line? where is Y/your line of acceptable dishonesty?
“Seldom, very seldom, does complete truth belong to any human disclosure; seldom can it happen that something is not a little disguised or a little mistaken.”
― Jane Austen, Emma
What is Y/you discover that Y/your partner is being dishonest with Y/you? Is it a terminal to Y/your relationship?
How do Y/you display Y/your honesty? Do people see Y/you as an honest person? Do Y/you see Y/yourself as an honest person?
“To conceal anything from those to whom I am attached, is not in my nature. I can never close my lips where I have opened my heart.”
― Charles Dickens
How honest are Y/you with Y/yourself? That perhaps is the biggest and hardest truth to face......
Also, we'll ponder two more Thoughts for the day as time permits - one looking at reaching out to others in the community, and the second considering the time a Dominant gives to Their submissive - a privilege or an entitlement?
These Monday talks are continuing a theme of looking at some concepts of service and D/s from Where I am Led by Christina Parker - Y/you do not need to have read the book or own it - it is just used as a reference point.
A/all welcome to join the discussion, which will be led in voice so please do bring Y/your ears. Text contributions always welcome.
Monday 19th November 2012 @ 12pm SLT at The Temple of Discussion on Respect Sim.
