Where I am Led - Part 8 - Honour, Duty and Integrity (by Julala)

This week (Monday 5th November @ 12pm SLT) W/we are going for a three card trick as W/we continue O/our journey through some of the aspects offered by the service exploration workbook "Where I am Led" by Christina Parker.  W/we're going for a hat trick by taking a delve into Honour (or Honor for the Americans ;op), Duty and Integrity.

How do Y/you feel about these qualities in Y/yourself?  in Y/your partner?  in Y/your D/s relationship - are they more vital in a D/s relationship than in any other type of relationship?  if so, why?

Some thoughts from others:
"No person was ever honored for what he received.  Honor was the reward for what he gave."
Calvin Coolidge
“....A craven can be as brave as any man, when there is nothing to fear. And we all do our duty, when there is no cost to it. How easy it seems then, to walk the path of honor. Yet soon or late in every man's life comes a day when it is not easy, a day when he must choose.....”
George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones
“Honor was never taking the easy way when it was also the wrong one. Never telling a falsehood unless the truth was painful and unnecessary, or a lie was necessary to save others. Never manipulating the truth to serve only yourself. Protecting the weak and helpless; standing fast even when fear made you weak. Keeping your word.”
Mercedes Lackey, Exile's Honor
"Duty is the most sublime word in our language. Do your duty in all things.  You cannot do more. You should never wish to do less."
Robert E. Lee
"Your actions are a reflection of your beliefs. Integrity comes when what you do matches what you believe."
Christina Parker

If we manage to find the time W/we will also pick up on the "thoughts for the day" that W/we carried over from last week - the first considering punishment and the second pondering the emotional and spiritual aspects of D/s relationships and the lifestyle.

Please do bring Y/your thoughts, experiences, and questions and join U/us....as always, I will bring mine to share also.  A/all are very welcome.  The discussion is led in voice but text is also welcome.

Y/you do not need to have read the workbook or have it Y/yourself in order to take part in the discussion - W/we use it only as reference point.

I shall bring my tormented patience.

For I know that you wish only to serve us, and you serve us so well.

I am pleased I yanked your chain, for you were indeed late, and I can only hope that your class will rise to the challenge that you have laid at their feet.

And I don't mean you kneeling either!

Great discussion again and New blood too. I know it's a non role-play SIM, so what was with the dragon?

I suppose Pamela felt intimidated by some of the company?

who knows, at least it wasn't as hard to follow as last weeks discussion on trust....

Ow! My head still hurts from that one.

:)
