Monday discussion - when its time to call it a day.... (by Julala)

Some of the hardest decisions for people can be when its time to call it a day....

.....especially when it comes to relationships.

Whether it be a marriage, a partner, a friend, a job, a place in the community, a power exchange, whatever.....how do we determine when its time to draw a line.....finish a chapter.....move on....call it a day?

Does it take courage to take that step, set the ball in motion to end something - especially when its been powerful, intense, emotional, comfortable, familiar.  Or would the courageous thing be to stay? is it the coward who walks away or the courageous one?  

And what of the D/s relationship?  some might say it is up to the Dominant to decide when time is up.....and what of internal enslavement?  will that make it impossible for a submissive/slave to determine when it is time to move on?
